ArsKosova Music Competition for Youth – International Competition of Classical Music – 18th Edition

ArsKosova Music Competition for Youth – International Competition of Classical Music was held for 3 days in a row in 2023. Almost 300 young musicians (from 5 to 26 year old) participated in stringed instruments, piano, solo singing, guitar, wind instruments, composition, solfeggio, chamber music.
In the 17th edition, there were talented contestants from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Europe, USA. The represented public and private professional music schools, music academies: UP, UBT, Faculty of Arts – Peje, USHT-Tetove State University, Academy of Arts-Tirana/Shkodar, etc.
Jury cometee comprised about 30 members, outstanding local and world-known professors who have won international awards in well-known music competitions around the world. Of these competitions – FINALISTS WINNER OF THE GRAND PRIX AWARD AND COMPOSER AKIL M. KOCI, from the first edition (2003) until now, many talents have been discovered who are now well-known artists on the European and World stages: BESA LLUGIQI – soprano, RAME LAHAJ – tenor, MARIGONA QERKEZI-siprano & flute, XHAFER XHAFERI-violin, ART MARIKA-piano, FURKAN OZYASCI-piano, ANDI DURAKU-piano, VESA DUME-violin, and many talented instrumentalists and solo singers from Kosovo and the world.
