Assistent for KamerFest Orchestra

Mrika Hoxha was born in Prishtina. She took her first lessons in violin when she was 9 years old with teacher Xheladin Kastrati, continuig with prof. Blerim Bytyqi in Prizren. She studied violin in The High Music School ‘’Prenke Jakova’’ in Prishtina with the well known professor Sihana Badivuku with whom she continued studying violin in Faculty of Arts in Prishtina. She was part of ‘Youth Symphony Orchestra’ and played in concerts in Bern,Pula,Skopje in 2005 and had a concert tour in Sicily in 2006. She was also part of ‘’Balkan Chamber Orchestra’’ in 2009, which under the direction of Toshio Yanagisawa, played concerts in Skopje and Prishtina. In 2015 she played in ‘ESTA Baroque Orchestra’ in Middelburg, The Netherlands. In the same year she also played in ‘European Summer Music Academy StringOrchestra’ in Prishtina as a concertmaster, under the lead of  Desar Sulejmani. In 2018 she played again for ESTA Chamber Orchestra in Strasbourg and Malta, also was part of the annual ESTA conference wich was held in Malta. She was Concertmaster of ESTA String Orchestra, on the concert held on the 12^th of November 2019, as part of the Kosova Kamerfest XX edition.  She was part of ESTA annual Conferences in Cremona 2019 and Graz 2022. In 2023 she was part of No Border Orchestra, Embracing Vulnerability tour in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Hercegovina), Novi Sad ( Serbia) and Maribor (Slovenia). She played for the well know violin players as Miriam Contzen, Peter Sheppard Skaerverd, Pierre Hommage,Michael Suusman,Ulriche Danhofer, Antoinette Lohmann, Dmitri Berlinsky etc. She worked as a violin teacher in the music school ‘Tefta Tashko’ in Mitrovica for five years. From year 2010-2018  she worked  as a violin teacher in music school ‘Prenk Jakova’ in Gjakova. Since then she worked as a violin teacher in music school ‘Prenk Jakova’ Prishtinë until 2022. From Otober 2016 until June 2017 she worked as assistant professor of Sihana Badivuku in Faculty of Arts in Prishtina. She is a member of Kosovo Philharmonic Orchestra  since 2004. She finished masters degree in Faculty of Arts with Prof. Sihana Badivuku in Prishtina.
